My AS level Media journey
The Rough Cut
We filmed our Rough Cut over the course of one day, we thoroughly enjoyed every part of the day, from brainstorming ideas, discussing camera shots and getting hands on with the filming process. We found that filming all the shots took longer than we expected and so we learned some good time management skills from this which we could carry forward into the filming of our final two minute opening.
What we feel went well:
> We had a big range of camera shots and angles which would make the piece more engaging and interesting for viewing by the audience.
> We received feedback that told us our framing was considered "excellent"
> Our story line was clear and audiences found it easy to follow the plot.
Improvements we could make:
> Include a shot of vodka bottles being hidden, as feedback we recieved told us these would need to be hidden from the dad.
> Be aware of lighting changed between shots so there are no continuity errors.
> Make the subway scene and overall presence of the villains more apparent and prominent.
